If you want to look exceptionally British, a British suit is the way to go.
This kind of suit requires three things; the right pattern, style, and appropriate accessories and attitude. To master the British suit style requires an understanding of patterns. When you think of an British businessman, think stripes and checks with heavy fabric for the unreliable British climate.
The British suit is tailored to sit close to the body with high-waisted trousers and higher jacket arms. It should have a double-breasted check or chalk stripe or for those who favour the single-breasted style, mid-width peak lapels should be more suitable. Dual vents and flap pockets are another common characteristic of a British suit.
Accessories should be the finishing touch to showing Britishness. The pocket square can be a subtly patterned silk. For colours, burgundy, dark green, dark blue and grey are very British.
For the shirt, it’s all in the collar, which should be semi or fully cutaway. The tie should be either a knit tie or a woollen tie in a plain colour and conservative patterns.
My tailoring is about style and craftsmanship, at Park Lane tailors every garment is well made with a perfect fit and finish.

Wearing a British suit should give the wearer confidence, so an aura of happiness and pride must be conveyed through the wearer.
Being of good cheer in both business and pleasure can be a reflection of the man in the suit and will make the suit more vibrant when worn with confidence. When you put on any suit, you should feel like you’re also putting on that confidence.
REAL BRITISH STYLE
When referring to the British suit, we do not mean an expensive, and royally cut suit from a gent’s outfitter or Savile Row.
Britishness has a great, great deal to do with your choice of material, colour, patterns, and character. Some men will just waltz into a gent’s outfitter and pay big bucks for an Italian suit with patterns and call it British.
Pinstripes and Italian definitely do not mix. You’re likely to find a good place that will cut you a suit that is authentically British, and it all depends on your style, budget and finding an amazing British tailor that knows his suits. You don’t need to spend a lot of money to be truly British.

'A man should look as if he had bought his clothes with intelligence, put them on with care, and then forgotten all about them.'
